Wireless I/O products connect directly to sensor and control signals and transmit the signal values by radio to the receiving module.
The received I/O signals are either re-created as replicated values (e.g. 4 - 20mA) or, via gateways, as databus/protocol value (e.g Modbus TCP, EtherNet/Ip, etc.)
Our industrially proven WIBNet protocol is used in the wireless I/O range to provide reliable communications.

In practice, wireless I/O networks can be as simple as point to point monitoring of a small amount of I/O (e.g. level, flow) or more complex monitoring and/or control of point to multi-point applications with sizeable I/O counts and/or protocols (incorporating our gateway product range).
Wireless I/O products differ in terms of one or two way communications, frequency, TX power and number of I/O points.
Two Way, Multi-Count Wireless I/O
Elpro Technologies manufactures a variety of two way communications (i.e. combination transmit and receive) products. These include the muli-I/O and gateway series products.
Wireless Multi-I/O Series
The Elpro multi I/O products are two way communications devices with differing I/O counts, TX power and frequency options to accomodate communication regulatory guidelines.
Four different versions of 105U are available depending on the application I/O count needs. Flexible by design, each 105U can multi hop repeat signals up to 5 times and when combined with the 115S series product, the I/O count can readily adapt to meet ever-changing application need.

One Way, Small I/O Count, Wireless I/O
Two small I/O count, one way communication products are available: the 105U-L and 505U-K series product.
L-series
The Elpro L Series products are DIN rail mounted modules typically used where AC Power is available.
They feature a small I/O capability with one way communications between the transmitter (105U-L-T) and receiver (105U-L-R) products. While delivered pre-configured as a back to back system, the L series product can also be re-configured into a wider Elpro I/O and/or gateway network.
Typical applications for the L series include tank level monitoring, cathodic protection for pipelines, flow and/or energy meter monitoring, etc.
K-series
Elpro's K Series products are low power input only, small I/O count, one-way communication products.
The 505U-K and 505U-2E revert to a 'sleep mode' between transmissions to conserve power and can reliably run on battery for extended periods of time.
These products typically connect a transducer/sensor into a larger multi I/O and/or gateway wireless network. Application examples include monitoring tank level and overflow alarm and stack emissions where AC power may not be available.
