Elpro 105U series

Elpro offers a wide range of wireless gateways that can interface to fieldbusses through Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet, Devicenet and Modbus Plus. Data transfer happens on change of state and close to real-time monitoring/control is achieved. One of the great features of using the Elpro Gateways is that any Gateway can talk to any other gateway or I/O Module. You may for instance have a Gateway with Modbus interface talking to a Gateway with Profibus interface. These modules can also talk to I/O modules in the same system.

Wireless Gateways are two way communications devices which provide wireless connectivity between similar and differing data buses and field/transducer I/O (e.g. Profibus DP to DF1 and 4 - 20mA). Wireless gateways differ to wireless modems in that they can accomodate differing protocols (i.e. protocol conversion) where modems pass the same industrial protocol.
In application, wireless gateways interface to PLC's, HMI's, DCS's in providing the linkage between control room, field PLC's and/or transducers (e.g. level sensor via a one or two way I/O module). Supported industrial protocols include:
